You will be able also to cycle to Richelieu, and perhaps discover the Greenway, 20 km in a natural environment between Richelieu and Chinon along the old railway:

Special visits
The city of Richelieu
A modern town built by the Cardinal, a protected masterpiece of 17° architecture.
The castle built in 1630 has disappeared, but garden paths, rose garden, canals and hundreds of remarkable trees make this an exceptional site.
Sainte Chapelle of Champigny sur Veude
(16° century), dedicated to Saint Louis, and its beautiful stained-glass windows.
Castle Rivau
(15° century), at 8 km, has a remarkable garden and propose all sorts of activities for children and teenagers.
Chinon
With its famous Fortress and middle-aged lanes, Chinon keeps memory of Joan of Arc and of king Charles VII, and of the Plantagenets, when the city belonged to the english kingdom.
